“Michael K. Price working on behalf of the clients for
advertising or leased access time within G1NBC Sports programming would
be an extremely productive, cost effective, and efficient business plan for
delivering communicative services to the overall community.”- Says Maxine L.
Perry retired Michigan Liquor Control Commission Chairperson and “Mike’s” former
teacher.
Michael K. Price believes that effective communication is in listening,
understanding processes, and taking a pro-active plan of action to provide
solutions and deliver service for the advertiser.
“I believe that Mike Price’s productive years serving people in project
management, marketing acumen, assessment skill, and the understanding of the
sales and service industry have accomplished much for the overall community”,
says Vincent L. Kountz, Census 2000 Partnership Coordinator, United States
Census Bureau, and The Detroit Regional Census Center.
“Mike is effective as a spokesperson who will advocate communicative inroads for
the advertiser,” Mr. Kountz says.
The years of key marketing service leading private Corporate 500 sales teams,
and public service organization management processes, have prepared Michael
Price for the volunteer constituent roll of Presbyterian Villages of Michigan (PVM). Mike will proactively represent
the Senior Citizen population’s fundamental purpose of supporting causes that
address the citizen concerns, in grievances, remedies, and resolution for the
older people.
Michael Price has dedicated his last five years to improving the processes,
accessibility, and the betterment of business services for the City of Detroit’s
Workforce Development Department and the Human Rights Department.
Michael was a very effective and efficient Michigan, Ohio, and West Virginia
media and community specialist for Census 2000.
“I was pleased to work on the first advertising budget that a United States
Census ever used,” says Price. Through the marketing of an effective media plan
that reached each demographic that was addressed to a very diverse America, we
were able to significantly impact the differential undercount of all citizens.”
Mike Price has over twenty years in media experience in broadcasting and film,
sales, marketing and public relations. Mike helped to produce many effective
marketing and sales campaigns for recording artists such as Prince, Chaka Kahn,
Spinners, and Larry Graham, etc. at Warner-Elektra-Atlantic Corporation.
Mike ‘Tiger” Price created, produced and co-hosted Sportstalk, an hour- long,
live television sports program that ran in Detroit from April 1988-1998 on the
Comcast Cable Regional Network. Sportstalk was nominated for several Innovative
Cable Excellence (ICE) awards.
The Sportstalk program’s long-term successful ingredients included local,
regional and national topics, trivia quiz, unique features, guests, and a studio
audience.
Price was Vice President of Media for Jerry Blocker and Associates, a political
advertising firm. He worked with Black Entertainment Television as the Michigan
Advertising Account Manager. Mike is a six-time award winner for the Advertising
Salesman of the Year with Barden Cablevision (1989-1995). Mike is a recipient of
the 1995 Blacks in Advertising, Radio and Television (BART) Award as
Metropolitan Detroit’s best advertising account manager.
An avid golfer, Mike serves his community as Treasurer for the Friends of Wayne
County Parks, is a former Co-Chairperson for the Detroit Area on Aging “Meals On
Wheels” Golf Tournament, and the Annual Plymouth Congregational Church Golf
Outing and Camping Ministry (1998-present). Mike has a lyrical tenor’s voice and
